Dixie Wing

Originally an SNJ-4, a 6-year restoration has been completed as an LT-6D which was used in Korea as a forward air controller and called a Mosquito. Thanks to our dedicated restoration crew, this aircraft is again in excellent flying condition. It began appearing on the 2008 airshow circuit.Whether it is a 20 minute flight or an hour, to be at the controls of the North American T-6 Texan is a fantastic experience!

Berlin Airlift Berlin Airlift (C54)

Founded in 1988, the Foundation has obtained and restored to flying condition, a Douglas C-54E transport aircraft, which helped support the C-54's which carried out this great mission. Named "SPIRIT OF FREEDOM", the aircraft is painted to represent the 48th Troop Carrier Squadron, one of the many groups which carried out the event. Inside, the "SPIRIT", is a genuine museum dedicated to the Berlin Airlift, filled with artifacts, displays, and information explaining this all important event in recent history.

The Berlin Airlift fee is $2 per person or $5 per family.

Warriors and Warbirds The Tinker Belle (C46)

Warriors & Warbirds Inc. was formed to preserve the history of aviation, to serve as an educational tool for the community, and to assure that the memory of those who gave their lives in service to their country shall not perish.

In 2005 Warriors & Warbirds started as a dream of several local pilots. With help from the City of Monroe, the Veterans Council of Union County, local businesses and the hard work of volunteers, the Warriors & Warbirds Veterans Celebration and Air Show has grown into one of the areas largest aviation events honoring those who served.

Spooky Spooky N514AC (Douglas AC-47 gunship)

Delivered to the USAAF as "43-49297", but later transfered to the US Navy as an R4D-6 "50788". After a civilian career the aircraft was acquired by the Marine Aviation Museum in Houston, TX. The aircraft was reconfigured to represent an AC-47 "Spooky" gunship.

There is no fee to tour inside the plane.

Hixon Flight Museum The Hixon Flight Museum

Our mission is to increase the public’s awareness of aviation through the flight of historical aircraft while supporting the local children’s hospital.

The independent, non-profit Hixson Flight Museum is dedicated to aviation education while supporting the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger. The Museum opened its doors on May 25, 2010 and has enjoyed rapid growth and success thanks to its dedicated volunteers and donors.
